The reason I made the small flask was for this project.  It is a pewter food holder I made for my wife's fish tanks.  She was using metal strips that she got at the pet store to hold the cucumbers and squash down on the bottom...So I got the idea that I could make holders.  I shaped it like an angel fish and put some prongs on it.  My idea was to put the food onto the prongs and then, bend the prongs over....as it turned out, it isn't necessary to bend the prongs over...just push the cucumber down onto the prongs and it stays.
So, since my wife likes how it works I made a pattern and drilled two holes through it for pushing a drill bit through it to make the holes which become the prongs when poured.  (She said it didn't need so many prongs)  Here is a picture of the pattern:

Giddy UP!
How I made a fish food holder using pewter
---Cope
---Drag
Here is a picture of this one after it was done:
I sharpened up the prongs a little...and you will notice that the "fins" are curved more than the pattern.  Guess why?  I dropped it on the floor by accident and one of them bent like that.  I thought it looked good that way so I bent the other one to match.  It's nice when an error results in an improvement!!  Doesn't happen often for me.

OK, so I made a video of how I made the first one...I rammed up the cope and drag without a pattern in it.  Then, I cut the angel fish pattern out free handed.  I don't recall doing something like that before.  So, here is the video.  Leave a comment and subscribe to my youtube channel if you would like to get all my video updates.
